Buy in is agreement by members in a group or team with the goals and procedures of their group or team, and action to support the goals and procedures. Buy in comes after the Storm stage of Form, Storm, Norm, Perform. The individuals in the group or team have figured out who is in control, and what part each individual will play in the group or team. Without buy in, everyone will go in different directions and the group or team will not be effective. If an individual buys in to the group or team goals, he will support it with actions even though it may have different ideas from his own.
