教材及单元教学内容分析

The topic of this un it is Nels on Man dela___a modern hero. This is the first period of this unit .It is concerned with tea ching stude nts about what makes a great pers on. By lear ning warm ing up and pre-readi ng it is hoped that the stude nt s will be able to see the differe nces betwee n a famous pers on and a great one and think of the qualities that are n eede d to make a great pers on. The readi ng passage titled Elias ' Story is to in troduee rNetson Marwd eia els on Man dela was chose n as the example of a modern great man because of his fight for fairness in South Africa an d his far- sighted and gen erous ideas to those white people who were aga inst him. After lear ning this passage, stude n ts are expected to lear n from Nels on Man dela and develop their moral qualities.

The students are in the first term of high school, their vocabulary is limited, and sometimes they can

wn opinions properly .In this period, I will get the stude nts to talk about the fine quality of great people to improve th eir speaking ability. What ' s more, the students ' reading ability is weak, and there are too many new w ding passage. Moreover, there are many attributive clauses in this passage, too. So, first I will get the students to ski m for topic sentences of each paragraph, and the n sca n for further un dersta nding .Besides, in order not to let stude nts feel much difficult, I will deal with any Ian guage problems while they are readi ng.

1. Before liste ning , let the stude nts discuss the questi on :What things do you think were un fair in South Africa ?

2. Liste n to the tape and write dow n the main idea .




The main idea is the three reasons why Elias joined the ANC Youth League. Step2. Liste ning (on page 69)

1. Ask some students to talk about the information on William Tyndale mentioned in the part Pre-reading . Then tell them they are going to listen more about William Tyndale .

2. Go through the sentences in Ex. 1 , then listen to the tape for the first time , and decide whether the sentences are true or false .

3. Play the tape again for students to correct the wrong information . 1) William Tyn dale wrote the first Bible. (F) 2) He was born in the fifth cen tury. (F)

教学反思

经过教学实践，我体会到要精心设计一堂阅读课，必须在课前花大量的时间和精力。对课的类型、主题、结 构等诸因素作充分的考虑和研究。要精心设计输入材料的长度、信息的密度、低频率词汇出现的数量等。要 把阅读的重心放在发展学生综合语言运用能力的基础上，着重提高学生用英语获取信息、分析问题、解决问 题的能力，特别要注重提高学生用英语进行思维和表达的能力。同时还要考虑学生对背景知识的理解程度、 自信心、学习动力以及已有的知识经验等。在设计阅读活动任务时要考虑任务的难度等级。虽然利用多媒体 上课课堂容量大，密度高，且具体直观，但由于课件是事先准备好的，教师的课堂组织教学以及教学活动只 能受限于课件，所以课堂上显得比较呆板，缺乏激情，无法发挥，也不好拓展。总之，一节不注重学生参与 的课不能算是好课，一个自编自演的教师不是一位好教师。要让每一位学生都能够得到发展，就得让学生成 为课堂的主体，引导学生更多地参与，培养学生的积极性，提高学生的学习和解决问题的能力，才可以最终 达到培养人的目的。
