I’m writing to invite you to our Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, due to the fact that you are always keen on Chinese culture. The celebration is to be held on the playground at 8 o’clock this Wednesday night.
As is well known, the Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, a time for family reunion or for family members sharing the same brilliant moon thousands of miles away. On this charming night, our holiday celebration involves launching floating sky lanterns called Kongming and appreciating the bright full moon with a variety of delicious moon cakes at hand. Everyone present, I believe, will undoubtedly enjoy thorough refreshment, immersed in the unforgettable traditional atmosphere. I hope you can come and join us.
