1. The news came to us like a bolt from the blue. 这个消息传来，如同晴天霹雳。

bolt from the blue中bolt指的是“闪电”，天空中的一道闪电比方某件事或消息特殊突然，让人没有任何预备。 2. They got wind of our plans for a party. 他们觉察到我们要开个派对。
