Firefighters Protect People's Lives

Firefighters are heroes. They protect people’s lives and property. When fire breaks out, or someone is in danger, they respond immediately and risk their lives to put out the fires and rescue people.

Firefighters check buildings and equipments regularly to prevent fires. They inspect gas and electricity lines and teach people how to use them safely. They also give safety instructions to school children and remind people of the importance of fire safety regularly.

In order to save lives and property, firefighters have to make very quick decisions and respond to emergencies very quickly. They not only need physical strength, but also courage and team spirit.

Firefighters are important to all of us, and we should honor them for the tremendous job they do.
